Desire

Hello I’m Phil Grew of GWG, and today I would like to talk to you about the first step of wealth creation Desire.

Desiring is a state of mind that is commonly associated with a number of different effects: a person with a desire tends to act in certain ways, feel in certain ways, and think in certain ways.

Desire is the starting point of all achievement, to quote John Elderedge “We are desire, it is the essence of the human soul, the secret of our existence. Absolutely nothing of human greatness is ever accomplished without it. Not a symphony written, a mountain climbed, an injustice fought or a love sustained apart from desire. Desire fuels our search for the life we prize.”

Therefore desire leads to motivation which leads to action steps and with action steps comes results, but not all results could have a positive outcome. You may stumble, you may fall, but be strong and persistent and know deep within you shall achieve your desired outcome.

I feel personally and would like to ask you if you see it the same as me, that to not act on desire is spiritual enslavement; and I also believe if I banished desire from my world, I would live in a frozen world with no reason to live.

I will never forget that at the lowest chapters of my life how much I desired for my life to end, I can also relate to how some people take themselves and their children with them out of the picture having been bullied by my ex-wife and her new partner.

My logic was that I didn’t want my sons growing up in this violent and dysfunctional environment and we would all be better off together in death. I now have the epiphany that was not desire but despair.

I am now filled daily with gratitude that I never acted on these thoughts and thank the Universe accordingly. I also would urge anybody who feels similar despair please if you need to talk to someone do, if no one else I am here, and it’s a large part of what the Universe is guiding me to.

I would also emphasise that obviously negative desire is despair, be positive and work on the positive, understand the two, I also know that when you are in this negative mode and somebody says “Just think happy thoughts” you would like to punch them in the nose. I will not offer sympathy but will give you total empathy.

To quote Epicus who wisely said “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember what you have now was once among the things you only hoped for.

Thanks for allowing me to share
